    Electrical Issue

So over the past month or so I have been having trouble when crossing rollers (not every time). For some reason when I turn around and cross over a set everything except the motor shuts off. The PP and my stereo completely shut off for a a second and then everything turns back on and the PP engages and off we go. It really doesn't even effect anything. I just know that this should not be happening. I checked my battery connections and everything looks secure and clean. I am going to take my battery and have it tested just to rule that out. On a side note I got a warning the other day that my voltage was low. Has not done this in the past couple trips. I checked for loose connections under the dash and behind the gauges and found nothing. Got to thinking it couldn't be just on one side because the dash and the stereo turn off when this happens. Right now I'm at a loss. I really wanna get this fixed. On a side note I have also noticed that when i pull the boat out and let the ballast finish draining when I flip the toggle switch off it has been getting REALLY warm. I don't remember this every happening. Any help or ideas would be great. In case you need to know its a 2004 SAN 210

I would check the lanyard switch and the harness behind the panel going to the switch.

Hi, I ran into this same thing this past summer on a 220. Same identical symptoms . After going thru the ECS and then back tracking I found the red and black wires on the PME loose and making intermitent contact. Also Found the PME box loose in it's mounting bracket.

Another on a 211, every Time the the owner did a double up the boat would shut down. turned out their was a connection of the ECS wire in the console (purple wire) that had never been crimped well and pushed together, again making an intermittent contact.

this happend to me when i bout my 03 SAN210...turned out to be a bad switch..the one that you turn on before you put your key code in. try wiggling the switch while running and see if it happens. I replaced my switch with a 50 amp three postition switch and have not had a problem since.

Thanks, that would make sense as to why it is getting really hot. I'll try that

Rabbit, You da man. So I was in town and went ahead and picked up a toggle switch. When I got home I turned on the stereo in the boat, bumped right beside the toggle switch and everything turned off. When I pulled out the old one I found that the red wire was hanging on by a thread. Secured it back to the switch and bumped it again and all seems to be working fine. Hope to test it on the water in the next couple days.
