A vibration on an inboard boat can be caused by a bent propeller, a bent shaft, or the engine being misaligned with the propshaft.

A propeller can cost about $100 to $150 to get rebuilt, a bent shaft can cost maybe $700 to $1000 to get replaced, and the misalignment can be fixed with an hour or two of labor, by your self if you understand the principles, and concept, or by a boat dealer.

Propellers can look perfect, and still be bent a little, and because of fact the propeller shaft is at an angle to the direction of the waterflow past it, the right side of the propeller actually generates more thrust than the left side. If one blade of the propeller is bent, that blade makes more and less thrust at it rotates, and this causes the vibration.

If the boat still has the stock propeller on it, an OJ propeller, I would suspect the propeller a little more. OJ cast propellers are not as accurate as an Acme propeller. In fact, an OJ cast propeller usually runs a lot better the first time it is rebuilt.
