Need help identifying my boat

I just bought a used 2001 Air Nautique. I know this sounds like a ridiculous question, but is there anyone here that can ID my boat model from my pic?

(or is it just called an Air Nautique)

Its an Air Nautique. Actually, same colors as that years catalog boat:

Its the same hull as the Sport Nautique. Many have commented that hull is one of the most versitile designs Nautique has ever had, but they changed it in 98 or 99. Supposedly they changed it back soon after. I cannot confirm any of the design changes (second hand info), but you definately have an Air Nautique.

Yep looks just like my "Air Nautique". the title and some other official documents may say "sport nautique", I believe "sport nautique" is on my title and maybe the coast guard max cap.

Sport and Air Nautiques used the exact same hull. Take a Sport Nautique, put ballast tanks in it, add a tower, and change the decals, it becomes an Air Nautique.
It is called a Air Nautique. The Super Sport/Super Air was the same boat, only with a V-drive.

Thank you for the help. You guys answered my next questions about hulls.

We bought the boat about 2 months ago and have been on it as much as possible. This is first inboard I've owned and love it. My wife and I ski and board, so I wanted a good crossover boat. I did a lot of homework before buying and I'm very happy with the boat. I just wish it could magically morph into a 24' VDrive when everybody shows up and wants to board.

This site and members have been a HUGE help!!! It's absolutely amazing how much info is here. I also have a 2004 Triton 20 bass boat and there isn't a Triton forum that is even close to this level of dedicated members.

I've gone through all the maintenance with help of this site. Replaced and added stereo system, gauges, pumps, fluids, perfect pass, ...etc.

Hopefully as I learn a little more, I can contribute a little to help others. I'm in the middle of replacing my digital gauges out with Teleflex analog. I like the matching look of Telefex compared to Faria. When I'm done getting the info from VR, I'll post a pictorial.

Not true.

The 95-2006 Super Sport/Super Air Hull was the same or very similar to the Sport Nautique hull of 93-97.
The 93-97 Sport Nautique was never offered as an Air Nautique model.

Pro Air has lifting strakes and a step in the hull. Pro Air arguably a bit better wakeboard boat ( I don't know if I believe that is true). Air a bit better water ski boat, particularly at lower speeds. See the 99 Sales brochure for a side by side picture of the two hull bottoms. Pro has a TWC - Total Wake Control Hull. Air has a TSC - Total Surface Control Hull.

With some ballast, you should be able to get a pretty good wake out of that 2001 Air. You won't have as much room for people and gear as a v-drive (let alone a 24 foot v-drive), but you can hide virtually all the ballast in your boat. In my 99 air I have 2 x 400 lb fat sacs in the rear (plumbed), 8 x 40 lb pop bags (4 bags per side) in the rear where the area curves around the rear seat (so kind of a mix between rear and gun whale). That gives me the option of going between 400 and 1200 lbs in the rear. I also have a 480 lb sac plumbed in the ski locker and a 540 lb sac plumbed under the bow seats. I'm actually considering getting rid of one of the 2 in the front (just not sure which yet), because as of last weekend, I did not seem like I needed more than 480 lbs up front, and actually even less, to get the best wake.

Your boat is an Air Nautique, as previously mentioned on this thread, but to be more specific it is either a 2000 or a 2001 model year. If there is a sticker on the side of the windshield that says "75th Anniversary", you have a 2000 model, if not, you have a 2001. Either way, great boat, awesome colors, congrats!

Not sure that 2nd hand info is accurate however ICBW.

The Sport/TSC hull was introduced in 98' and remained unchanged until 02', throughout most or all those years there was also a "Pro" version available which had the TWC hull as BKH mentioned earlier. In 03' that model was discontinued as the 206 & 216 were introduced.

What I meant was this. A Super Sport and a Super Air have the same hull, that are basically the same boat, V-drive, with or without Ballast tanks, A tower, and Graphics.
An Air Nautique and a Sport Nautique have the same hull, direct drive, slightly different than the Super Sport/Super Air.
I believe all four model variants have a hull that measures 21' 2" long, and have the same beam width.
The Pro Air is a direct drive boat, also 21' 2" long, but has the "vents" on the hull bottom, slightly aft of midship.

The last two numbers on the boats serial number are the model year.
The third number and fourth letter from the end of the serial number are the month and year the hull was made.
January = A
February =B

December=L

Example:
The last four digits of my 1997 Ski Nautique is J697
It was made in October of 1996
