Anybody out there use a rail to bring there Nautique shore insted of a boatlift? I am looking at building a boat house on shore and need a track system to get it into the boathouse.

I don't think it's necessarily the metal rails, but what goes on inside the garage, like changing and possibly spilling toxic fluids into the water. I don't agree with the law, but that ain't nothing new.

I live on a manmade in minn and its ok for that. But in minn you cant have a boathouse on public water. Hewitt, in Minn makes them, but I am actually trying to find out if they work with a Nautique.
With the skegs and prop so low under the boat.Life long Nautique guy

RE: Boat rail to shore
Now I am really confused.
They are afraid of what you are doing in your garage, so they ban railroad type delivery methods of putting your boat in the water. Seems to me that that would be better for the environment since your duties would be further from the lake than doing it in a boat that is hung above the lake. Sure seems logical to me. Guess that is why I don't make the environmental laws.

In minnesota, It has to do with shoreline setbacks and pesticides. They want vegitation buffers on all shores. If you have one already, you are grandfatherd in, but the orig building cannot be torn down and rebuilt. I live on a manmade lake, and that is exempt. Minnesota is the land of Paul welstone. You are not allowed to have any fun.Life long Nautique guy
