thanks to everyone for posting the feedback. it really helped me out alot. i decided to pass this boat up, too much work for me to tackle right now. So i am currently searching for a 82-89 nautique 2001 with minor problems, (to keep price down of course) thanks again . This is a great site!!

      $1500 s&s

At $1500 it may still be a good deal. I can speak from experience. I had a Mastercraft that I hit a log with. I had to replace the prop, shaft, rudder, struts, and re-install the first skeg. I hired the work out and the cost was $7,000. After the work was done the boat drove, rode and skiied fine. So if it's a late 80s S&S and you could get it for $1,500 or less it may still be a good deal if you can afford to make all of the needed repairs. Just make sure you get a good mechanic and fiberglass person to do the work and it never hurts to offer less than the asking price.

I know this is a little more than you were looking at spending, but looks to be in great shape, would probably save a lot of money over doing something yourself.
