new ballast weight question

Im still trying to figure my ballast system out before i jump off into this task. When asking around i have been recomended 2--750 pound ballast as well as a center ski locker bag. My question is does anybody have experience running this much weight in a 2000 super air nautique. or does anybody have a better idea for wakebording and surfing on which bags i should look at?

I run 750's in back, a custom made sac in the locker and the integrated bow sac (only fills up about half way) in my 01 SAN. A lot of people run the rear seat sac in the ski locker and it seems to work out for them. I wanted to get as much weight in the locker as possible, so went the custom route. I think the sac I had made was 12"Hx27"Wx78"L. You will need some more nose weight if you want to fill those 750's up all the way.

ive got 500 pounds of lead in my boat now that i could move to the front but it just kinda worried me to put that much weight in my boat with thoese 750 pound bags in the rear that just seemed like alot.

I run 1100s in the V-drive lockers (but I only fill them up all the way when I am surfing on one side), a 350 bag in the ski locker, and a integrated bow bag (650) in the bow. I also have an extra 350-400# bag in the bow and a 750# bag on the surf side. depending how many people I have in the boat I also keep a variable amount of lead in 50# bags in the boat. I do this because it is actually easier to teach neophyte drivers and wakeboarders how to clean the wake up by moving the lead weight around while under power rather than trying to fill the bags on the fly. When I am driving I definitely use the onboard ballast system to fine tune the wake and the surf wave as needed

Youll be fine. I run two additional 400's (one on the floor in the back of the boat and one in the nose sideways) to get the wake really mackin'. I have 160lbs of lead in the boat that we use to fine tune the wake.

The biggest issue will be your prop. If you are still running the stock prop, then you will definately need to upgrade. I run the acme 1236 and a lot of people run the 1464.
