    Warranty & recalls

Does a boat need to be under warranty for recall work to be done? The case in question is regarding the recalled flow-wrong valves that were never replaced on a 03. The dealer is telling my friend he is out of luck, yet cc sent me the same replacement valves when my boat was out of warranty. Just wondering how this works.

cc told my buddy who purchased his 05 new that they'd send him the parts and pay for like an hour of labor or something like that. assuming the work has to be done at a dealer though. throw in a wwjd if need be

I'd like to know what you come up with, I've called CC a few times and left messages asking about this. They've never called back, I figured it was their not so polite way of telling me I'm SOL.

I can't complain because cc sent me the replacement valves when I asked. I have noticed a bit of inconsistency with this type of thing. I would not expect cc to fix my boat out of warrant, but feel they should take carre of any recalls at anytime. Valves are not a big deal, but what if it was a major component or a safety issue? WWJD...very funny gride
