2011 Mastercraft 197 World Tournament Team

This weekend I saw the 2011 Mastercraft 197 World Tournament Team boat. Now, I am long time nautique owner, but when you visually look at this boat, both the interior and exterior, it looks smokin nice. In fact, I would say this was the most attractive boats, "visually", that I have seen. Whoever did the color schemes should get an award. Not getting into ski characteristics, just how the boat "looks". For the TT, there are two external schemes, the one I saw was red, with a thin upward sloping white stripe and internal white diamond vinyl and only the piping is red. I see the reverse exterior scheme on only inboards, but can't find a picture of the base red, http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=821298
Next year when this boat is at a tournament - it's going to attract a lot of attention.

Sold my boat to buy a house, the house is much less fun.

They do make a sweet looking product, and the new Ilmor motors are off-the-hook cool looking! I'm anxious to see what they come up with in 2012 for the PS190 hull redesign. It should debut next August supposedly? The current hull would have collector plates on it, if it were a car;-)

The white one looks awesome but it isn't going to ski any better. I think it is one of the best looking they have had in long time.

I would rather have the functionality and quality of a Correct Craft boat, than the looks, and an untested motor, in my boat. Remember, MC thought it was a good idea to use a marinized Caddy Northstar engine, a few years ago. I do not think they are doing that, anymore.

Now, if Correct Craft would go back to making a true, designed as a closed bow ski boat again, that would be cool.

I agree they are really nice looking boats, but it's kind of like putting lipstick on a pig... In my opinion.

The exterior / hull of the 197 is sharp, no doubt.

However, the interior is lacking and the wake for skiing if you are not at 34 mph is terrible. A very inefficient hull. People whine that the 200 is inefficient, but if you were to listen to the very noticeable rpm swing of a 197 from the dock as compared to a 200.
