What's up with copy cat covers?

I've been trying to get in touch with them for like a month and nobody will answer the phone or return emails.

I sent them an email about a month ago too, never heard back. I ended up going with Nautique Skins.

          Bad Karma!

Remember when you go to Copy Cat Covers you are getting a second rate product especially when comparing to Christines covers whome dedicates their business to Nautiques. Recently We had a customer that placed an order from Copy Cat in Late July for a 92 SN and recieved them in late Sept. Upon receving the product we found that it was far from fitting the substrait and frames, After numerous calls the customer then sent the skins back along with the old original pull off skins. Two weeks later they Returned the skins to Us only to find poor and mismatched stiching along with a product that was very bad in fit and finnish. Rather then send back the second time the customer decided to go ahead and keep them on the boat as he felt he got what he paid for and figured they would last about three years and at that point he would go ahead and utilize Christines next time around.
Long Story short, You get what you pay for and if you want a great fitting product that looks great and has a factory apperance then Copy Cat will not deliver, re consider and give Christines a call!

Sad to hear our the issues. They did a great job on mine last winter. Turnover seems to be an issue as my original sales guys left as well. Christines does awesome work but for the price I had to go with copy cat as it was 1/3 the cost.

Here's a post from the MC forum from someone who was less than pleased with the fit of his skins from them. The thread itself has the history. But the result was not pretty from a fit perspective.

I would post pictures of our result also but it is embarrasing for my business.

                      Uploaded interior pictures

                      Hi everyone,

I have finally taken some pictures after a few days of rain! Here it is....and let me know if the link isn't working...

                      http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink

This was my first interior install on a boat, so I messed up a few spots. I need to fix the back of the engine dog house where the carpet didn't get pulled tight enough. All in all I was pleased with the result for the cost. It sure beats the nasty interior that was left uncovered for years. I would definitely agree that there are better shops out there and time will tell how much this holds up. Lots of 303 and TLC will be required regardless.

I also posted pictures of my ladder install at the end. I will put in the DYI if it looks good. My wife and the rest of the ladies are quite happy now!

wow that looks great. I just ordered a set and I was hoping you could tell me how you got all the wrinkles out of the curves in the corners? Also any other install tips would be greatly appreciated. Nice work!
