Zero would apply for those of us with older boats with no warranties as well.
I have to say that CC makes some very well built boats, even if they accidentally glassed the battery drain shut back in 78 at least once

My 08 210 with 180 hours has had two minor warranty items in two years . Never lost any lake time nothing but great service from Dockside Marine. I hope I can finder a similar dealer here in Georgia

During the first 5 years' usage of my 2005 SN196, the only warranty replacement items were a heater core and 2 gas-charged shocks for the glove box door. 230 hours after 6 seasons.

I lost a high pressure fuel pump two years ago and had to be towed in. This year crank position sensor and had to be towed in. Very embarrassing to say the least. My old Ford GT 40 never left me stranded. So far The GM ZR has twice.00 SAN 210 (previous boat)

Too many GM motors have let my family down over the years.

I too am disappointed that Ford quit making the 351 engine. But since Ford was no longer using the engine in any of their vehicles, it made poor economic sense to keep making it. If you were a supplier of the new engines used in every boat made in a year, of every brand, that would be a small fraction of the number if engines used in only one model of a car.
Correct Craft and PCM did some experimenting with the modular (Triton) V-8 engines. Although the Triton engine is a good engine for a car, or truck, my understanding is that it did not have the durability that a boat engine requires.
I am disappointed that Ford quit making the Aerostar. It is comfortable to drive, has decent power, is rear wheel drive, (important for pulling a boat up a launch ramp), and the extended version of the van could actually hold a full sheet of plywood on the floor, with the seats out, or a 10 food board, extending between the front seats. My Aerostar has gotten about 22 MPG on the freeway.
In praise of Ford, they did not have to declare bankruptcy, and be bailed out by our tax dollars.
When my 1997 Ski Nautique was new, there was an issue with the wiring for the fuel gauge, at the tank. As near as I can recall, that was the only warranty item.Last edited by DanielC; 12-14-2010, 10:43 AM.

I've replaced two bungees (board rack), the glove box gas strut - twice, and the remote oil filter mount - so that's 4 warranty items (only one major item) in six seasons and 500 hours...I'm happy with that record.

I think the poll is asking the wrong question, 78% of Nautique owners (14) have 1 to 3 warranty items every year? that would be hard to believe.2013 G23 super air
