I'm contemplating installing perfect pass myself to save some $$$. Of course the installation is complicated by the fact that CC uses pitot tubes instead of a paddle wheel.
What I meant was that CC still uses pitots for their speedometers while most other ski boat manufacturers have switched to paddle wheels as standard equipment...
with the digital guages, you can't get a reading from the paddlewheel. That is why the pitot tubes are on there. If the boat is a signature package, there are not pitots.
I just drilled the hole for my paddlewheel last night. Once you get past the fear factor of drilling a hole in your boat, its pretty easy. I think I measured everything about 5 times, just to make sure everything would work out. Installing the paddlewheel actually turned out to be one of the easier parts of installing PP, the hardest for me was routing all the wiring under the floor. There are other posts on this site about installing the paddlewheel, and also on www.malibuboatowners.com. Good luck.

I agree its not that difficult to install the wheel, or Perfect pass. If you have a GT-40, use the throttle cable as a fish tape to help you route the wires through. This was a tip from the CC rep, and it worked great. If you have a newer Vortec then beg, borrow or purchase a fish tape from someone.
Make sure you have a sharp hole saw for the drilling and use a layer of masking tape over the area where the hole will be. When you start the hole saw, dont hesitate, commit and have it at speed when it hits the hull. If you hesitate, or dont apply pressure it will splinter around the hole.
Once it's completed and set up you will wonder how you lived without it....it really makes driving much easier.
Have fun!
