    Toronto Boat Show ...Bill Yeargin

I was at the Toronto Boat show last night. It is Canada's largest boat show and it also has the largest
indoor lake! They have a cable system setup and wakeboarders demo various tricks off of two ramps. I
just wish somehow they could manage an indoor slalom course at the show!!!!
Nautique had a large impressive display of many of there boats via Pride of Muskoka the Ontario dealer.
Bill Yeargin the president of CorrectCraft/Nautique was there as well to answer any questions. I met and spoke with
him for the first time. If you ever get a chance to meet him you will will not find a nicer down to earth guy. I hope to meet up with him again when I fly down in April to tour the plant and see my new boat.
On another note I really liked the look of the new Sport 200. If I was not such a picky diehard slalom skier I would have bought that boat!!! I like the seating layout and room it has to offer when kicking back and cruising the lake.
The boat show is on till this Sunday so get out and check it out...lots to see and buy !!!!

I cant wait for my local boat show. I do however wish the down to earth guy would use his power in the company to find some more down to earth pricing so more people can afford their products.

Good luck with that...The high pricing did me in a long time ago for buying new. And it just keeps getting worse and worse every year.

Not too much Nautique love coming to California... Maybe you'll have better in your area.

Maybe this is pointing out the advantages of having a regional service center. When West Coast Correct Craft still existed, they did help the dealers here in Oregon with the boat show. And after the Portland boat show, some help was given to the Seattle boat show.

I am going to suggest that maybe one reason there are fewer dealers in California is because to the closing of West Coast Correct Craft, by the factory.

But maybe they can sell more boats in Toronto.

There is only one dealer in Ontario. Before this current dealer (Pride of Muskoka) the Nautiques were
sold and serviced by one guy. He would bring the boats up himself from the factory and install the engines himself
to save taxes and keep the price lower. I bought my first boat from him in 1986 and many more after. It was nice to be able to deal with him directly however he was not always around since he also was a pilot for a major airline.
With the expansion of wakeboard boats and crossover boats it became to much work for him to continue with the demand and servicing. Like buying a car it would be nice to be able to pick the dealer you would like to purchase from. However this market is seasonal and thats just the way it is up here.
