    Battery Recomendation for 1998 Air

Can someone please recommend a battery which will completety fit in the intended front battery compartment. The boat was second hand, with a battery which does not allow the lid to seal flush with the floor. Annoying to say the least.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I use Interstate batteries measure the battery box and they will have one to fit.

I use a Delco Group 34 in my 98 SN.

There should be a sticker in the battery box, or on the battery cover with the group number on it. The information should also be in your owners manual.

The other option is to cut a larger battery box opening. I increased mine from able to fitting a 24 battery to being able to fit a 24 and 2 27s. It is not hard. I have pictures on my rebuild photo album. I can walk you through it if you want.

Probably not an option, if it's a 98' Air DD the battery is up in the bow under the seat cushions, not recessed into the floor. Would imagine the owners manual will indicate the battery group.
