    2004 SV-211 prop recommendations

I carry about 2100lbs of ballasts when fully weighted down and currently have the stock prop on. I am going to need to change the prop for this year to handle all the weight. I have the ZR-6 engine. What would be the ideal prop for wakesurfing, tubing, slalom skiing and occasional wakeboarding? I don't want to increase the RPM's to much and I am willing to lose 5-7mph as well. Any suggestions? Anyone have a good used prop that I will need?

I had the exact same boat. I assume you are currently running a 644. I switched to the 1464 for surfing and really liked it but the rpms are going to be pretty high when you slalom. The other option would be the 1236 which is in between the 644 and the 1464. I never tried the 1236 because I thought it might not be that much different from the 644. In the end, I had both the 644 and the 1464. Both props will surf and slalom. I just picked which one I did the most and used the other as a back-up.

Thanks Mark, I appreciate your info. I currently have the 644 right now.

Awesome boat, by the way. I really liked the 211 with the ZR6. It was a ton of fun and very reliable. The best modification I made was the addition of automatic electronic ballast valves. There are a few threads on here detailing the process.

Yeah I couldn't agree with you more Mark, we really like the 211 because it is an awesome family boat. I already have the fat sacs for the boat and 2 tsunami pumps but I think maybe next year I will have the Jabsco pumps installed. I can't say enough about the ZR-6 engine. All in all for what we use the boat for it is a perfect fit for us. Thanks again for your input.

If you do a search you will probably come up with about 10 posts I have made on this subject.

I have had 9 different props on my 2005 SV211 powered by an EX330. In the end I am right back with the 644. My boat came with a 380 that was way too much pitch. I ran the 1234 for 2 weekends but I found it destroyed my slalom wake. Anything shorter than 22off was like skiing behind a jet boat with water pellets up to my waist. I also have an 856 but I get better barefooting top speed from the 644. There are some OJ options too but I found slightly better performance with the Acme props.

Thanks for the info Mikeski. This information is good to know when your looking at spending $400-500 for a prop. Would like to find a good used prop for a little less money.
