    2007 sv 211

I'm looking at a 2007 SV211 with around 500 hrs through a dealer that has tested the boat. If in good condition (there are some minor cosmetic issues) what is a reasonable price for this boat? If you had to compare the this boat with a Malibu VTX with cut diamond hull 2007 or 21 LSV cut diamond hull for about the same price, what would be your choice? Thanks for any input

you're asking a Nautique site if it prefers a Nautique to a Malibu? Nautique all the way.

As for your boat, what options are on it? Engine size and options will play a big difference in the price. Also, what will you use it for? The 211 is a crossover, so it skis and wakeboards fine, not the best in either category. I've heard the VTX with the diamond cut hull ski's a little better, but I wouldn't pay the same. Nautiques hold their value better.

Incidentally, I have an 07 211 SE with the 275 hp engine and no tanks and LOVE it. Only minor fault is the hp struggles getting my 300lbs up on slalom. Struggles, but can still do it. I love the storage and the walk-thru, the huge platform, and did I mention the tons of storage???

The VTX is newer technology. My buddies VTX pretty much beat my 211 in every category after spending a day in it. Needless to say I was not too happy with my boat after spending a day in his. I disagree with the value holding. Nautiques out here in the west are not holding values nearly as well as Malibu's. I would guess the lack of a good dealer network probably has something to do with it.

Now the new Sport Nautique 200V will probably best both the VTX and the 211 in every way, unfortunately it's double the price.
