I keep a small tool kit with channel lock pliers, screw drivers, adjuctable wrench and a razer blade knife. The razer blade knife is for cutting ropes out of the prop. Other tools might work, but it is a pain when the boat is in the water. I keep the tools in a water proof Craftsman box - they still get a little wet, but not bad.
I have found it best not to get in too deep on a repair job while on the water. I perfer to limp back and complete the repair under the best conditions possible. I have seen some real hack jobs done on the water. So, I just keep the "on the water" essentials in the boat. Not to say that a quality job can't be performed on the water - I am just not good at it.

Screwdriver for bindings, snorkel mask and knife just in case, adjustable spanner, can of WD40 and a paddle. I'm not mechanically minded so IF it should break I would just paddle back to the dock and call on the experts. There are always lots of them around, then I would give the dealer a call.

A whole bag filled with rags, 303, stain remover (which does nothing), and a bunch of other cleaners for those emergencies.I Nautique, therefore I am.

I keep a decent tool box in my tow vehicle. I also keep several multipurpose tools on the boat...but I find that my boat isn't the source for needing tools. It's replacing ski fins, tightening the allen bolts on wakeboards, etc.
Also...got to have some spare water filter O-rings.....and a spare transom plug.....there are two $1.00 to $3.00 items that can ruin a day. Speaking from experience however.....with a wet suit and some scissors, you can make a very good O-ring that will get you back to the dock.
Something that wasn't mentioned is a First Aid Kit. That is my most valuable tool box on the boat. I haven't used it, but in a pinch, first aid items are the most important. two big items for me is several roles of eleastic stretch wrap and some of the "super scissors" that can cut thru wetsuit and life vests. You just can't be too careful.88 Ski Nautique

This is kind of Off topic, But it is .
My wife is a Nurse, she brought home this firt aid Glue, for glueing your skin back together. It come's in a small clear tube and you crush it and it mixes and then when you squese it the glue come out the end,, Its like crazy glue for your skin, Its a clear band aid that will glue the nasty cuts back together. Some times the stupidest little cut can mess up your day on the water . this is a great fast way to fix your cut,

Just keep the actual Super Glue on hand, they say that does the trick.
Barefotter Billy Brzoza from Coventry R.I. used this trick when he cut his foot jumping during the X-Games in R.I. a few years ago. From Southeastern Ma.
