    2007 210 Tower swap w/ 2008 210 Tower

I have a 2007 210 Super Air Nautique limited. The dealer ordered the boat with upgrades to make it a Super Air Nautique Team. I have the Flight Control tower which I believe is referred to as the FCT-1. My tower collapses by flipping the top portion over so that it rests upside down in the bow of the bow.

I would like to swap my tower for the version sold on the 2008 model which releases in the top center and collapses with the front bow connected section folding down into the cockpit and the rear mounted section folding down into the cockpit both toward the stern of the boat.

Is this possible to swap these towers without moving the mounts on the deck of the hull (i.e., do both towers have the same footprint in terms of mounting points)?

How much would the 2008 version of the Flight Control tower cost ?

The reason I ask is that I believe the overall height of the 2008 tower in the down position is lower on the 2008 version vs. the 2007.

Does anyone have the measurements of the height from the deck of the boat to the highest point of the tower in the down position??

I need the highest point of the tower in the folded down position to be approximately 6 inches lower to clear my garage door.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I believe you're describing the Titan tower in 2008 (...naming convention is awkward, but I believe it's usually referred to as the FCT2...and the one you have is the FCT1/Gen4...). It should attach fairly easily as the 07/08 are basically the same boat with a slightly different interior. You'd have some glass work to patch the holes from the existing tower.

When I bought my boat in 2008, my dealer told me he was ordering only Titan towers because they fit in a 7' garage whereas the other option would not. I have an 8' garage so I've never bothered to measure....if you'd like, I can measure the height. Obviously, total height is also a function of the trailer...but I could measure the height of the bottom of my transom off the garage floor and you could compare that to how high your boat sits on your trailer.

Titan is now Star One (Menace) and the tower from 2008 is no longer made. You can try calling Star One and seeing if they have new old-stock....you never know. They are GREAT to work with.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check w/ my local dealer here in CA and see if they have any old towers and what else is available. I sure wish I had an 8' door like you !

Thanks again & I'll post what I find out !

I called Correct Craft and they told me the 2008 tower will not fit on my 2007 due to changes in bow mount area. So this looks like a "no go". I'll have to see what I can do to my trailer to see if I can get the addition clearance.

        Thanks!
