    New Platform Traction Pad Material

The traction pad on my 08 210 has that hard plastic material on the platform that has the Nautique "N" cut into into. This stuff looks cool, but it is hard on your feet and very sharp, and doesn't really provide much traction. The stuff that they are putting on the new boat decks is much better, softer, and provides more traction. Does any one know where I can get this stuff so I can replace what is on my boat with this? Also has any one replaced the old traction pad and how did that go? I would just replace the platform altogether, but it looks like the new platform mounts differently to the boat than it did in 08.

    Thanks for the info!

my 09 230 has it (Sano Pad) and it started peeling up after only a few months and it was warranted. I wanted them to replace it with the newer stuff (Sea Deck) but they didn't. The replacement Sano Pad is already doing the same thing. I hate that crap. It actually cracked so bad that it pinched a guests skin.

I have a 2010 230 and the Sano Pad began peeling after only 3 months of use. I'm working with my dealer to try and get it replaced with the Sea Deck material. It's too bad that Correct Craft won't do the right thing and replace it with Sea Deck or something else that will last longer than 3 months. My last boat was a 2006 220 and I had the same problem with the Sano Pad. It was replaced two times in two years and was peeling up again when I sold it. Correct Craft is aware of the problem, why aren't they taking care of their customers and replacing it with something else. Very frustrating!!!!

We never had a problem with the black sano on our 2006 210. The gray sano on our 2010 210 had some peeling issues, but nothing major.

Our 2011 230 has the new SeaDeck material. Looks to be much softer and flexible, so hopefully there will not be any peeling issues. My only concern with it is durability/longevity.....

We've had our '08 210 pads replaced twice a year.. Sad now bad it is and how Nautique won't fix the problem and just replaces the pads with more of the same junk.

So why is Correct Craft replacing the Sano Pad with Sano Pad when they know it will crack and peel up after a short period of time? This doesn't make any sense to me! If something doesn't work then replace it. I wish we could get an answer directly from CC?????

I checked with the dealer and they said CC is working on getting the sea deck available to buy for the us with the old hard stuff. But they're going to make us buy it even if ours is cracked. I was quoted $300+ for the old stuff, so who knows what the soft sea deck stuff will cost!

I'm going to try Gator Grip next. He sent me a sample and it seems stong and soft enough. And pretty affordable. I'll post some pictures when I get it done. think the site is wakejunky.com/

                Another option

Another option is hydroturf.com I have not used them but am looking into it for our 230 as well as our jetski.

                Stay Safe.

If what your dealer told you is correct, then the Sano Pad isn't covered under warranty. My boat is less that a year old! At this point everything should be covered!

i've personally never seen sano come up. i've got it all over my boat. perhaps they changed the adhesive since myself and buddies got out boats. ask about that. i agree the material sucks to stand on, especially if it's dry and hot, but it is what it is.

I actually told my dealer's service advisor that I did not want the Sano Pad put back on my boat, even if I had to pay 'something'. Mine peeled and cracked so bad all over the boat that, as I said before, a guest pinched the skin on there leg and it bled (albeit little), but none the less a day spoiler. This was only after a few months of ownership.
When I went to pick it up, the Sano pad was replaced with.... wait for it.... The same stuff. I really like my dealer, and the service advisor no longer works there so I think it was a communication problem with one person. Water under the bridge, but it appears now that I am going to have the same hassel again as the replacement stuff is already beginning to peel. If anything, to get the new Sea Deck, I don't feel I should have to pay the full amount for it. The Sano Pad is an inferior product on a superior boat (imo), and this will be the second time.

I really hope as someone mentioned previously, that Nautique is working on getting the new SeaDeck material available for us to buy and put on our boats. That is terrible that this stuff is cracking and peeling off for you guys. I have never had that kind of trouble with it on my boat. But as everyone else has stated, this stuff is uncomfortable on your feet, sharp, and hard, and it provides no traction. It looks cool and that is about it. Totally non-functional.

To go a step further, I heard they were thinking about putting SeaDeck on the flooring surface too rather than carpet(likely to be just an option).

Not usre if there is enough history on this stuff to look at that yet....I'll be very interested to se how the SeaDeck holds up on my new 230.

i think epic uses it for flooring in their boat. might not be them, but one company does. either epic or axis.

THAT would be cool! I think it would hold up MUCH better that carpet.
