    Eggie,
I might be wrong. The timeline shows 1957 but I was pretty sure that I read in some printed literature that the ski nautique was first made in 1960 and correct craft purchased the name and mold in 1961 and began producing it since then. I will let the other boat company name hold out for a little bit. I want to research it again.

We can throw another question in the mix: What era was the first vdrive produced from correct craft? (ie 1940's, 1950's, etc) A Hint - It wasn't the 1990's or late 80's.

        1967 sticks in my head.

To clarify my original question - what other boat company did Correct Craft start (ie. malibu, MC, etc) The company is still in business but is under a different name now.

          I'll buy '67. I just know of one that I think is a '73.

Can you clarify? Do you mean someone from CC left and started their own company?

Here's one. What company was first to put a swim platform on a ski boat and what year was it?

No they sold off the company name and product when they acquired the ski nautique name and mold.

I think MC started the platform.

I second the "Atom" for the first CC ski boat. I dont' know when exactly they stuck "Skier" on the end, but that's what they show in all their early 50's ads for water skiing.

First V-drive was in the 60s, the earliest one I know if is a 68 Torino. tryan has a Torino, not sure what year though.

I don't know about you Hollywood but I've thought since the beginning that skinautique has some real close affiliation with Correct Craft and that 74skier should get a free 196SE or something... Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
