If I remember correctly, the oil pressure sensor was replaced and the alarm stopped beeping. This is a very simple part to replace so you guys may want to give that a try.

I had the same problems, first problem was low voltage to the dash, found that the 10guage wire wasn't enough for the instruments and PP at the dash. I was getting less than 12V even when running. Added a 6 guage wire and all seems good. The second alarm was coming from the depth guage it drove me nuts, finally turned it off completely.

Is this the 10 awg wire that runs from the battery to the grayhill box? I've set the depth alarm to 0 and the deep alarm to 0. This is in the driveway, with the just ignition on. 1 beep every 15secs... I'll take a look at the voltage - thanks -

            I have same alarm

Have you found the problem, I have the same boat with same alarm and sounds like I have done the same trouble shooting, Nautique did swap the Faria Guauge computer out and it still does it. Approx. 1 in 10 start ups.

                RE: I have same alarm

I also had the depth finder at 0/0 to avoid any shallow/deep alarms. I did disconnect the PerfectPass to make sure that the alarm was not coming from the PP gauge. That did not make a difference. I have no idea how much the oil pressure sensor is but its replacement is so easy that it is worth a shot. The alarm drove me crazy.

                  RE: I have same alarm

I've got Nautique looking into it, I'm glad it's not just my boat, now with the same problem on another boat they may work out the problem. But your problem is identical to mine and I've timed the beep it's every 15 seconds if it starts doing it. My Tach gauge and seperate oil Pressure gauge both read the same and thats right in the norm of where it should be. And your right it drives me crazy. I've probably spent 3 hours trying to trouble shoot it.

                      RE: I have same alarm

Paul, strangely enough, all of my tachs worked properly and when I confirmed the readings with the digital gauge, they all matched. I did not think the problem could be related to fuel, oil, temperature, etc, at least based on the readings I was getting.

Once you get it resolved, please post the solution to this problem. I wonder if there can be different parts causing this alarm.

                        My reply from Faria:

The beep you are hearing is intended as a warning. It is indicating that the depth sounder is not receiving sufficient voltage in order to operate effectively. This is in place to ensure that the consumer knows that the depth sounder display may not be accurate at that level and to use caution regarding the depth of water you are in. Once you have increased RPM's and the alternator generates sufficient voltage to power the unit it will operate correctly.

The low voltage condition is triggered at 12v + or - .5v. The voltage you are reading at the gauge may not be the same as at the transducer, which powers the depth sounder

Sooooo....... this kinda stinks. +- .5??? Turn on heater and ballast at idle and I'm going to get the beep..... Time to disconnect?

I wish they would include this important piece of information in the manual. It would explain everything. I still wonder why I no longer get the alarm if everything except the oil pressure sensor is the same. If the gauge did not get the proper voltage in the first place, it should not get the proper voltage now. Oh well, now I know to increase the rpm's if this happens again (ha, ha....).

                            Gotwake,
This makes sense. I have the same problem, but I thought it was a low oil pressure sensor. When I hear the beep, I rev the engine up and it goes away. Thanks for the info. I wonder if they addressed the problem in the '06s.

Haven't had time to get back to this problem yet, but it sure is driving me nuts! We sometimes go through a few long no wakes and while the voltage is reading 12.5 at the dash, it's beeping every 15 secs the entire time. A heavier wire, like Wakejunky mentioned in the post above makes sense to me, if not, well, the beeper has got to be killed. 12.5 volts seems plenty to me. If there's not enough voltage to run the depth finder - how about flashing the "lines" that are displayed when the unit is out of the water?

Faria gave me the same information that it is low voltage so I watched it all week and sure enough anything under 11.5 volts i got the alarm, and fast ideal stopped it. As soon as I fast ideal the voltage runs up to 13 plus volts and hold there. So it apears it has solved the problem for me. I do not have ballist tanks hooked up but i can run the heater at 3 speed and the fan and it holds 13 volts at idea after i fast ideal it up.
