Get Team Edition on Ski Nautique 200?

I'm in final stages before placing my order for a 200OB with tower. My last hesitation is whether I should get the Team edition or not. Here's what it boils sown to. Opinions much appreciated.

Team would cost 3,500$ more, including taxes. What I would get extra is:

    - Keyless ignition (not sure how important this is to me)
    - Linc System - not sure what this will do for me that the standard doesn,t do, other than the GPS
    - Different sound system - again, it's not clear whether there really is an advantage. Team has the Clarion CMD6 while the standard Level 1 would have CMS1

Other concerns include: resale (would the above points really matter on the resale of a Ski Nautique?) and layout or any other point I may have missed. Hard to justify the 3,500$, but I don,t want to regret not getting it if the differences were important.

    Team edition

Doesn't seem to be worth the $3,500 to me for a better stereo and not having to turn a key. I don't know much about the LINC system though. I don't think it would increase the resale value that much either. Just my .02 cents.

      yes from me

I realize its alot extra to pay but I like having it in my boat. It cleans of the dash and looks modern. I have no use
for a GPS on the small lake I run my boat on. The stereo is tied into the system and it works well. However I did go for the upgraded amp and woofer. I had keyless ignition in my 196 and its nice never having to remeber a key to fire up the boat. If your going to do it ...get all the toys and enjoy!!

One thing that would be good is a touch screen. After having an iphone for awhile its hard not to touch the screen once in awhile trying to change my music!!!

The TE also comes with Zero Off, which is $1,600 aftermarket. $3,500 more including taxes is a no brainer IMO, with all the other goodies a TE comes with.

Resale can bite you both ways. When the LINC system goes, it'll be a beast to replace. I personally like them simple (key and all). However, if you're not going to keep it long then the next buyer will probably be looking for those features. Get what YOU want, and let resale take it's course.

All very good point. Please do keep in mind that the 3,500$ difference is AFTER including all the same options on both boats. For example adding the ZO on the Standard ed, etc...

I would go for the Team Edition too. The LINC system is great!

Go with the team edition. The link system is worth it.

The Linc is neat, but I am just not a fan. If that system fails, you have nothing. no speed or speed control, no fuel gauge, no tach, no oil pressure, no ballast control (on the air's), no radio (eeek), no anything. And I have seen one fail. Im and not faulting it, just not worth the extra imo. I don't see them lasting 10 years or more like gauges should.
Good luck and congrats either way!

Does anyone know if the stereo will sound much different? The TEAM would have the Clarion CMD6 while the Standard would have the CMS1. I looked on Clarion's website and the CMD is 50W*4, while the CMS1 is 40W*4. If anyone out there's had the chance to hear both, I'd love to hear your comments.

You won't notice a difference in either stock stereo. You'll likely end up adding an amp and sub either way, to get that extra oomph. Go TE, it's small change in the grand scheme.

Did they get both air and water temp operational in the Linc yet? I use both all the time in my boat - worth the extra money right there:-)

All this talk about the LINC failing... Has anyone ever heard of one failing? Why is it more likely to fail than anything else? IMHO, there are many mechanical things that are more likely to fail than the LINC. I also prefer the key-less ignition. I hate when the keyed ones get loose and sloppy over time. Key-less looks much cleaner too.

I love the Team editions, but just to play the other side - if you have a tower and plan on putting a kicking stereo in it, you might consider the std edition and spend the extra money on an after market sound system with tower speakers. ...hmmm, did I just say that??? ;-)

Still just the water temp on my '11.

I have the further upgraded stereo in my '11 Team and it is quite impressive. Much better than the stock Team edition one.
