    Surf Tabs

Has anyone seen the surf tabs that they are using on he new Mastercrafts (look in the new Transworld Wakeboarding mag)? They are essentially trim tabs from what it looks like. Any thoughts on how they may work on a SAN? I am sure it is possible to use aftermarket trim tabs to function as such.

Yeah, I've thought about this too. You could trim the opposite side of the boat up and leave the surf side untrimmed. You could also trim both sides to help out the occasional slalom skier (I have near the same boat as you 2000 SAN). Keep us posted if you try it. Kits used to be available.

I rode behind an x-15 with the surf package last year. It seemed that the tabs didn't just trim the boat to list one side or the other, but there was also a large center one. I think they could trim down to the point to drag the hull down into the water. The wake was nearly 6' tall from the "valley" to the peak of the wake. Not a MC guy, but it was a really impressive setup to be all factory.
