Bimini direction ??

I would like to know, which way is the best to have a factory bimini top go?
Does the "main" arm go to the front, or to the rear of the boat
i've attached a photo, hope it uploads

I've always run mine so the main bow goes toward the back. Seems backwards when folding them up the other way.

Before I remove a Bimini top from a boat, I mark the port side with a piece of masking tape.
