Thinking of making my boat naked :)

I have kicked around the thought of debadging the boat, well the main graphic anyway. I have never really been a huge fan of it to begin with but I am not opposed to keeping it either. I think it would just be a little nicer offset for the boat with it being all red down the side instead of this big oval gray and blue thing. Any thoughts? Sometimes I think this might affect desiarability if I choose to sell it later but maybe I am looking into it too much. Here is my boat

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I already took th super sport logo off of the transom and the back sides. I replaced the "nautique super sport" logo on the transom with a larger logo that just says "nautique". I am seriously considering taking off the central nautique logo all together. I dont care if anyone knows which brand of boat I own, they see the quality etc as soon as the step onboard. I am all for the removal...

I like your boat alot but I've never been a big fan of that decal. What about putting the 2001-2003 "AIR" decals on?

Be prepared to see a fade line on that red. Red is the worst at changing colors over time from UV rays. I had planned on making mine naked but ended up having to put new Airs on the side due to bad lines. I even tried sanding it out.

Personalizing your boat is not a problem in my book. Nautiques have some of the best tooling and gelcoat in the industry. Taking some of the over-expansive graphics off in a lot of cases can bring out a sleeker look. The well defined lines and the deep gel goat finnish can then be waxed and polished to an extreem level. I have taken big decals off my boats for years and replaced them with the smaller hull designations and a single company logo on the transom. However Now having a 200 I like the tastfull way the Nautique and hull designation is placed on the boat. These will stay.
I also like the winged bird of prey graphics on the 230.

i wouldnt hesitate to remove the big decal. you might be better off to go ahead and deal with any fading that has happened around it now anyway, rather than later ... i like that decal too jeff, am in the process of removing my "airs" and going with the tribal as we speak. am really looking fwd to the new look, but am stressing a little about getting it on straight by myself however

I would take off that logo and replace it with Chromax lettering... check out the chromax AIR Nautique Logo on sale on Nautiqueparts.com.. I think its a good deal and those chromax letters look awesome I think.

Ditch the main graphic. The color scheme and lines of the boat are too nice to be cluttered up.

I have the same graphic on my orange 210, not a huge fan. I think the chromax would be awesome too. Either the air nautique with the crest of the plain "Super Air Nautique". Here are some pics of our boats with the graphic removed I whipped up.

Mine is naked right now, I did it mainly to do a good buffing and polishing. If you look real close you can still see a bit where the old decals were, but you have to know what you are looking for, or the light has to be hitting it just right. My intention was to put all the decals and lettering back on, but I think I'm going to leave it naked this season. Then next winter decide what to do, right now I'm thinking of putting just the Super Air Team Edition letting back on the back of the boat.
