    Ladder

I'm looking for a good under swim platform ladder for our 2006 Super Air Nautique 220 so our parents can get in and out of the boat. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What brand of ladder is it and where did you acquire it? I don't see any mounting screws on the platform. Did you mount the ladder and then put new nonslip surface over it to conceal the screws? Does the ladder affect the water flow behind the boat? I really appreciate you sharing this info.

It is a Garelick under platform telescoping 3 step ladder. It mounts under the platform. It does not mess with the wake at all.

          Ladder Installation

Can you post a picture of the underside of the platform showing the ladder installation? Any additional description on the installation would be helpful also. Thanks.

            Ladder Vendor

I'm not sure where NautiUT purchased his ladder, but they are also available on Overtons.com. The manufacturer there is Windline. They are stainless steel and about $150.

I'm more curious on how the installation affected the nonslip surface on top of the swim platform. Was the original surface removed, ladder installed, and then new surface installed? Or, was the installation done through the original nonslip surface on the platform with the screws set below the nonslip surface?

I would think you would unbolt the brackets from the platform and then bolt the ladder to the bracket and reinstall platform bolts. it would not effect the top of platform at all. I looked at doing that on my 236 but My underside brackets were two far a part to not need cross braces. You could run metal cross ways between the existing bracts then bolt the ladder to that.

I agree, pictures of the intallation from underneath the platform would be very helpful. Is it possible to see some?

                    Cookryan,

Let me find the pics of the one I put under my 2010 226. It is an Aqua Performance spring folding in white. Not sure if I posted them here or on Wakeword. My kids LOVE the ladder. I'll get back to you.

Also, mine did not affect the non-slip surface at all. I counter sunk into the fiberglass up top..but some of them were into the non-slip. No problem at all.

On the 2007 210, what was the ladder mounted on underneath? I don't see any screw holes on top of the platform. Was a piece of steel run between the swim platform mounting brackets and the ladder then mounted to it? Is there any concern the weight of someone stepping on the ladder may strip the screws from the swim platform?
