I was just about to order a new prop for my 2000 SAN and was ready to go with the 1234, but Delta Propeller told me that ACME does not recommend that prop for this hull because it the blades are too long and the prop wash will damage the boat. I know some of you have run the 1234 on this hull. Have you had any problems? What about feedback on the 1464? I plan on running fairly weighted, and holeshot is more important for me than top speed.

You cannot go wrong with the 1464. I run it in my '03 SANTE with about 2400 lbs in ballast, plus what ever weight extra with passengers, gear, etc. It gets on plane in no time. One of the best buys I've made on my boat.Jason

Is it just bad on gas if you don't have a lot of weight, or is there a performance issue. I expect to be running at least 2k for myself and most riders, but I will have the occassional kid or newby that we will run with no or little ballast.Now

You can go for the 1236 instead of the 1234. I run the 1236 on my '05 210 TE. It works well for me, and I normally run my boat at about 6k feet of altitude.Current: 2017 G23

I run the 1236 on my 01 SAN and run between 2500-3500 of ballast. Gets on plane no problem.
Its only bad on gas if you are trying to go fast. You will be turning higher RPM's with these props, but at wakeboarding speeds no matter how little or much weight you have they perform well.Last edited by seth; 04-29-2011, 02:21 PM.

Thanks all. I ended up going with the 1464. The 1234 is over $100 more (it's an extra inch diameter). The 1236 is the same price and I'm sure would have worked fine too, but they recommended the 1464, and the specs are pretty close between the 1236 adn 1464, so I went with the 1464. If we ever get any rain down here, I'll report back on how it performs.
I think there is an ACME on there now that needs to be cleaned up a bit, but I'm not sure what it is. Probably a 644. Whatever is on there now will be my spare after I get it fixed up.
Big props (pun intended) to Delta. They gave me zero hassle on taking back and giving me credit for my 470 from my 99 Air that I had bought as a spare a few years ago (I had never broken the seal on the tape).Now

I need a new prop too. I am looking at the side sacks (440s) and a locker (580) and that is really it. I was told 1464 too by delta, but that almost seems too agressive for what little weight I am running compared to you guys. I dont run around a lake at all and I dont pleasure cruise at all. I have a 856(?) as a spare and a 644 on there. It does ok, but when I have a few people and full weight, it is a bit much to get it going. I was just looking to trim the fuel usage a little bit too.

I "think" the progression is from 644 right to 1464. I'm not sure there is anything in between, but I would check with Delta and ACME in addition to the PN brain.Now

TRDon, trade the 644 for the 856. The 856 was the 1464 before there was a 1464. It will do fine for you and then you can use the 644 as a spare.
Chexi, the is a step between the 644 and 1464, but ACME usually tells people to just use the 1464 because there is not that much difference in top end speed/fuel use, but out of the hole is noticeable. If you already have an 856 use, if not step up to the 1464.Jason
