    OJ XMP

Anyone try this prop in either the three blade or four blade configuration. I'm wondering how it compares to the Acme props in terms of pull, slalom wake, smoothness/quietness, holeshot etc.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have an OJ in a four blade. Hole shot is awesome. I can't spin it know matter how hard to hit it. It does limit me on the top end though. 40mph depending on weight.

            RE: OJ XMP

So has anybody run an OJ XMP?

            I am kinda curious on how the 13.7 x 15.5 or 13.7 x 15 would do on a SAN.

I have not run an OJ XMP and have no personal experience. However in talking with a local prop shop I was informed that the OJ's (run on Nautique's for 40 years) aren't as smooth as the Acme props. The advantage is that they are more durable than the Acme's.

I just completed a write-up on an Acme versus OJ XMP 3 blade test, a link to which is posted at http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/sh...ight=prop+test. I run an Acme 13x12 3 blade on my 1993 MasterCraft, but OJ was nice enough to send me a 13x12 3 blade XMP to test. I tried to be as fair with the results as possible despite all the varibles inherent to testing something like this on open water. Hopefully, this will be helpful.

                  Thanks for the review.

I was thinking about the 13.7 X 15.5 for my super air, but was a little worried that the added diameter might make hole shots a little worse since the prop would not slip as much. it might also kill the top end since the pitch is .5 less than my current prop. I might call OJ to get a demo prop.

BTW, where are you in east texas. My grandparents had a lake house in Ivanhoe near woodville. My parents recently sold it since it needed much work after it flooded ten plus years ago, and they did not want to fight over it with siblings.

You're welcome. I'm in Tyler (northeast TX). I've run into a couple of people from Woodville from time-to-time, but have never been there.
