What spare parts to people keep

Just wondering what spare parts people keep on board? In their truck? and in their garage?

I keep a spare impeller, gasket, belts, plug, perfect pass motor (rebuilt one) and ballast pump impellers on board

Prop, prop puller, and oil in the truck

Spark plugs, oil and fuel filters, an extra starter, battery in the garage

    Anyone keep different items around?

I've never kept any spare parts on board, but just learned that a paddle isn't a bad idea! My low pressure fuel pump went out, after 5 minutes into the first ride of the year. I used the mirror as a paddle, until my neighbor came out in his canoe with an extra paddle. Fortunately, I live on a fairly small lake, so I can't get stranded too far from home.

In AZ to pass inspection if the authorities pull you over you have to have a paddle on boards (if I recall correctly), I have a collapsible paddle from WestMarine. Stores easily, and "knock on wood" havent had to use it yet

West Marine collapsible paddle, impeller pack (including o-ring and gasket), socket set(s), screwdrivers, and allen wrenches. Soon I will also have a spare GT-40 relay on board and 1 spare green ballast puppy impeller.

In my old 99 Air, I had the Blue Seas isolator / combiner system with my audio completely isolated from my starter battery (2 batteries). As such, I never felt the need to carry a jump starter. Jumper cables wouldn't be a bad idea (just in case you... or more likely someone else needs a jump). I plan on doing a similar system in my 2000 San.

I'm never very far from my trailer. *knock on wood*

Edit. I also kept a hose barb couple for the heater hose on board my 99 Air. That was really the only thing I ever needed, because my heater did go out last year and started leaking about 10 minutes into the trip. I got lucky and had the hose barb couple on board. I don't even remember why I had it there, but I did not consciously keep it on board for that reason. If you have a heater, keep one on board. I think it was 3/4".

          Forgot to add:
Jumper Cables, socket sets, tools (screw drivers, allen wrenches, etc), several sizes of hose clamps, Voltmeter, electrical wire attached to alligator clips, zip ties, some extra electrical wire and wire strippers/crimps.
As I remember more I will keep adding to this list I am sure

Extensive first aid kit with tourniquet and small surgery pact and suture, also

...the mirror actually made a better paddle than I figured it would! BUT, I think I'll order one of those collapsable paddles right away.

Also, it's a lot better to drop a paddle in the lake than a mirror. Knowing me and my friends, the mirror would end up at the bottom of the lake for sure.

To add insult to injury, I was towed to the landing by a Moomba owner who never heard of a Ski Nautique before. He asked if it was made by Moomba too. On that day, it might as well have been;-)

I hate to say it but I never keep parts in my boat. I have a screw driver and knife, XD.45ACP, but thats it. I'm rarely out when other people aren't out, so I call on the cell phone would get me towed in. The person who services my boat keeps a ton of parts and he lives at the shop on the river + I wouldn't service my own boat much.

I do put a paddle in any new boat I get for the first year. After that it comes out.

Although on the couple occations I have been out during the week I will through my tool bag in the boat. Not sure what I would do with it.

Kind of the reason I have a couple boats. The main reason is they all do different things Board (cruising), Slalom, Footing. The other is we all work hard all week, so on the weekends I want to boat. If one is down, I have a backup. If all of them are down I'll just us one of the other boats at the marina.

Now that is funny. I mean "Now" that is funny. I'm sure it wasn't at the time. Kind of hard to tell him in that situation, "no, Skier's Choice does not make Nautiques. Nautiques are elite tow boats in a class of their own that are made to much higher standards than your Moomba... "

it was an unfortunate moment! I told him it was made by Correct Craft, and the response was a blank look. I then offered to pull him for a few sets through my course; another blank look. So I THEN asked, what do you guys like to pull with your Moomba. Answer: tubes! My house is now up for sale;-)

Interesting tool for the boat. That is about the only place I do not have one with me.

Id say 3/8 socket wrench, 3" extension, 10&15mm socket, impeller kit, tiny Allen for perfect pass, jump box, amp gain flat head, and legal stuff like extinguisher, registration, flares, horn, in my state a paddle, jackets, throwable, maybe some different pliers/wrenches/qt oil.

Depends on how far from home I strayed and how well I know the lake and surroundings....but on over night trips and with the older boats / trailers: Always had a spare tire, spare leaf spring, set of wheel bearings and races, jumper cables, electrical tape, fuses, bulbs, prop and puller, impeller, extra trailer electrical connector and wiring and an electrical continuity tester.....set of spark plugs and a handful of tools to fix all of the above. Duct tape and Weld-it too.

On short trips for a few sets.....always run the boat on the fake-a-lake for a few minutes while I check things out and head out with a fully charged cell phone.

New boats / trailers: spare tire, spare impeller, spare pair of board shorts and t-shirt and a few tools....that's it. Oh...and the wife's slalom for a paddle.
                              Peace..
