Looking for a little help. We have been contemplating an after market tower for our 94' ski nautique (open bow). I have looked at new dimensions, fly high (pro-x), monster, ect... can anyone give me any advise on our search? The tower does need to be colapsable, in order to fit in our lift. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I have looked at the new dimensions tower and talked with them. Due to location of install and cost of installed tower, i'm not sure i can go this route. I have not written it of yet though. However, I am interested to find out if anyone has installed a universal tower or knows of someone who has, also what their thoughts might be and what type of tower it was.

If the new dimensions tower is cost prohibitive, that will rule out a few others that look decent. The next best bet at a lot lower cost is probably the monster. Titan I will fold down super low, but personally I'm not a fan of the look of the titan I.Now

Samson towers are universal, but the custom mill the feet to the shape of the top cap/gunnel rails so there is less stress etc on the hull. They have several styles, love mine, but they can be a bit priceyEric, Phoenix AZ

I put a ND tower on my 89 Supra when I lived in Indiana they shipped it to the house and I installed it. It fit perfect and looks like it has always been there. Please don't spoil your boat with a Monster 1 tower they look like a swing set mounted on the boat . There are a lot of choices out there now be careful with the cheap low end products . You get what you pay for . The ND [New Dimensions] tower will look factory and will not deduct from the resale price. If you are just looking for a low cost solution you can go with a extended pylon that can be removed with out any damage to the boat.

I have a 95 Super Sport in need of a Tower as well. However ND is the unit we all want, and would look the most correct, It is very costly and price is an issue for some of us. I have looked at Aerial Airborne as a nice looking tower compared to the Monster. Monsters are structurally sound from what I get from the forums, but lack some aesthetic charm (IMHO). Aerial Airborne for $1300 with two racks and nav light. $150 to ship.... probably half the cost of a ND.. (I know, I know).... half as nice.. haha.. good luck on your decision, show us pics when you have (it?) installed... and most important, get what YOU want and be happy with your purchase.na

We had a ND tower installed on our 94 sport, originally had it shipped to our house but decided to have them install it. We live in iowa it was a 15hr drive but it was good that we had them do it because both of the back pads had to be cut an re tig welded. My boat is the one on there website under the 93-97 sport nautique. If you can wait till winter I think they usually have a discount.Last edited by drifter1136; 05-11-2011, 07:28 PM.

I must concur with those who suggested the NDT version... I have now installed two, one on my boat, and a friend's MC 197. Both towers were well built, only needed a little tweaking after shipping via truck line (to both of us), and have been flawless in operation, mine since winter "06, and my friend's since '08.
Highly recommended!!2008 230 TE-ZR6

My 2 cents... I love the look of the NDT, super clean and for the obvious factory appeal. If I could go back and do it again I would go NDT. That being said when I put a tower on my 90 Sport cost and mainly collapsibility below the windshield were the most important factors. Thus being the reason I settled on Monster Tower. While it clearly has an after market look the tower and company have been awesome. I called them a few times during the install and they walked me through every issue and the few issues with the tower I have had, they have replaced no questions asked. (Most of the issues were induced by me). The tower is A+ and the MT2 monster tower has sleeker lines and in my opinion look really fresh.
Best of luck in your decision.1990 Sport Nautique
