Depreciation. How much can you get for your boat?

What would be the depreciation of total MSRP (which includes different options) for a 2005 Ski196 model that only has 20, 30, or determined number of hours on it? If it is not because the hour meter shows more than 2 hrs, you would think this boat just came off of the production line. There's not a scratch on it and the boat is spotless. Fresh water only.

Also, if this boat were to be sold by a dealer, what is the percentage or fee that one would have to pay, as a seller that is, at the time the boat is sold?

The depreciation is hard to say for sure. Look around for 2004's and what they are selling for. This should be a good starting point. There won;t be many 05's for sale yet.

Most dealerships charge a 10% consignment fee for selling your boat. This is alway negotiable.

It really depends on the situation. In general in the boating industry the wholesale cost of a new boat is roughly 80% of retail sell price. Of course there are lots of variables that have a significant impact on the actual cost, like flooring, transportation, prep, etc.. With this in mind, the most I would guess your boat will be worth about 70% of retail value to a dealer, maybe more if you are buying another boat, maybe less if not.

JZ is probably pretty close with the 10% for consignment.

Thanks for the info. I'll start with these numbers in mind.
