Why is CC not advertising in WBM anymore?

Last two issues of Wakeboarding magazine, no correct craft ads. Its usually in the first few pages.

Another thing, the CC ads usually are not very appealing. A logo and a rider and no picture of a boat or maybe a small one that doesnt show much. Nothing that would want to make me buy a Nautique if i didnt know much about them. They must have been doing some kind of reverse psychology advertising where you dont show your product.

I noticed that too, although they DID do an 'about-face' and got their boats and ads in WaterSki mag. It wasn't long ago they boycotted that magazine.

I subscribed to WaterSki from when they first started to a few years ago. The content of the articles just kept going down until I couldn't justify keeping my subscription up. Over the years CC would have ads one month and skip a month or two. TrailerBoat magazine usually has a CC ad. They do need to improve the ads. Need more boat pictures!

Anybody notice where CC put their ad for the 196 in the WaterSki Mag boaters test issue? I thought that was pretty funny.........

The rumor going around is that CC is not advertising in Wakeboarding Mag. anymore because of all the complaints about the ads with girls barely clothed. Supposedly CC doesn't agree with the ads either, so they stopped advertising in the magazine. Again, this is just what someone else said on another site, so take it for what it's worth.

Thats gotta be a joke. CC would be the last company to have barely-clothed girls in their ads....

You must have misunderstood me. What I meant is that people were complaining about the ads from OTHER manufacturers (reef, monster, etc.) that have barely clothed women in them and CC didn't want to be associated with a magazine that promoted that kind of stuff. I didn't mean that people were complaining about the CC ads.

I see, thanks for the clarification. That seems a lot more like CC. I don't know about all of you but I see a direct connection between CC and their religion, graphics, advertising, and booths at shows.

gotta give CC props for sticking to morals if this is indeed true.

CC had an ad on the last page of WBM in the March issue. It was a pic of Danny Harf.

I don't think it was an add explicitly for CC but for something else Harf is pitching. I also noticed the announcement that Malibu will be the towboat of the WWA pro tour.

Malibu will tow the Worlds. MC will still tow the PT.
