Some of you may have followed my thread about our previous boat sinking during a a storm on April 15th. I knew from the day that boat went down, I would replace it with a Nautique. Have always lusted for one, but the timing and financials never meshed. We shopped used boats for a while, but didn't find one that met our needs.
In our search, I had several discussions with Phil Smith @ Buxton's as he was helping us look for a used boat. During these conversations, he quoted us a great deal on a new 210, but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger on a new one yet. Fast forward to yesterday and I made an appt to go talk to Phil and look at the boat he was offering. It wasn't a team model, but it was the color ( silver cloud ) that I wanted. We went for a test ride and discussed the options I would want to add. Long story short, we signed the papers around 5:30. Probably one of the easiest transactions I've been involved in. No wonder they sell so many boats. They're even going to deliver it to PK for me next week. I added the Z-5 rack, upgraded the stereo, crest carpet, dual batteries, air dam, docking lights, transome stereo remote, and a few others I can't remember. Timing works out great as we have four days off for Memorial weekend. We've known the Buxton name for a long time and have heard many positive comments thru the years. Phil's doing his best to continue the tradition. I/m excited and happy to be a Nautique owner. Sorry about no pictures, didn't think to take any yesterday, but will soon.
