First day out with the new (to me) SANTE 220

I picked up my 2008 SANTE 220 Thursday morning. Took it back to the shop and did a full detail in and out. Took my friend and I about 6 hours, but she was show-room shiny when we got done.

We took it out Saturday for a few hours to get a feel for it, check the ballasts level / wake shape, etc.

The boat has a 500lb fatsac piped in on top of each hard tank. With the 2 stern hard tanks full and the fatsacs 1/2 full, the wake was....eh hem....awesome. We toyed with it some more, and with the starboard side completely empty and the port tank full, port fatsac 2/3 full, we were kicking a 30 inch + wake at 10.5. This was also my first experience with the ZeroOff GPS. Wow. I'll never have another boat with a mechanical / servo system!

I got in for a couple pulls, but the water was 56 F. Even with the wetsuit I was done after 3 passes. None the less, we couldn't be happier with the purchase!

That would be the difference between Utah and Canada. I was stoked yesterday that the water was up to 57. First ski was 44. Even with drysuit my hands and feet were very numb. 57 felt awesome!

By the way, now that I feel like a jerk, congrats on the new boat!

haha, no worries, thanks! When the water was 47 we were still skiing fresh powder!
