    What a great day

Picked the 3 year old up this morning from the mines. Had never done mine storage, but the climate controlled area was great. A little dust on the cover, but that was it. NO mold....

Cleaned the inside, vac, fantastic, 303, even detailed the motor hatch area (that was a first). New bimini on (Pain in a$$)

Batteries hooked up, stereo tested (neighors love me) outside washed. I will wax this weekend after it makes the trip to the river.

All that is left is wax boat, wax trailer (when boat is off), start and check connections.

    Ready for the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just is time to damage a prop and maybe more. took a look at the rivers today. wow are they bad. you would not believe the stuff floating in them. i would be afraid of the stuff you cant see. i worked over by sandcastle today. there was a log or bigger every 1/4 mile. that will keep me away. gonna have to make some lake trips somewhere.

Why do you put your boat away dirty ? I always do a complete detail when I winterize that way it only takes 30 Min's to get back on the water the first nice day.

Do you use Fantastic on your vinyl? I've been using the the 303 upholstery/carpet cleaner on my vinyl, with nice results, but am always open to suggestions.

          How's that new 196?!

            Scott,

CC's Vinyl manufacturer does not recommend using fantastic anymore, they changed the formula or something a few years ago. They recommend using LVP Marine Z-Care, the 303 you are using may also be on their OK to use list, I know the 303 protectant is.

Thanks Chris... I'll have to check the list. Do you use the Z-Care product?

I use the z-care and get it from whitelake.

I have three 303 products. two cleaners and the protectant.

the fourth 303 product I don't have yet is the sunbrella water block stuff.

never understood the boat away dirty deal either. especially in climate control. makes no sense. clean it well. when you come back, all you have to do it crank it up.

Yes Sir, Z-Care to clean and 303 to protect all the Vinyl, Colonite wax on the hull.

Heard good things about the Babes products however not sure if they are on "the list", RJ is the local rep/distributor for Babes & Colonite.

I use Maguire's premium flagship on the hull, with nice results. I heard Colonite is great too, but can be hard to buff off? I've heard good stuff about Babe's too. I was really hoping to win that cleaning kit in GL kast summer to find out first hand:-(

The Colonite is no problem to get off as long as you do not let it sit long, as the directions indicate.

Maybe you will get lucky at GL this year!!

Gang, I'm disappointed in you all . No the boat doesn't go away dirty. Is gets a complete detail in the fall and another one in the spring. The boat does get a little dusty during the winter storage event. Thought you knew me better then that!!!!!

As for the Fantastic - I bought 30 1 gallon containers about 5 or 6 years ago when I heard they were changing to formula. I have 2 left. I also have a couple jugs of the LVP stuff. Clean with teh Tasik first, when a over coat of 303 protectant.

Bigbald - we are up a couple locks from sandcastle. There was some stuff in the river last weekend, but they still footed Sat and Sun. The flighty will go in for sure and I will put a Nautiuqe in, but it will just be to take a cruise. Won't be doing any watersport behind the Nauti.

Crad....I didn't doubt you for one second brother...!

I use 303 by the gallon...it's my favorite. I've also used Babes. The one time I used it, it took a whole bottle to do my 216 inside and out. Looked great and worked well. But thought it should have lasted longer.
                            Peace..
