2007 SANTE 220 hydro gate

my hydrogate leaver is very loose and will not stay in place. i almost have to hold on to it when i am towing or cruising. i am sure this is an easy fix to adjust the tension. has anyone had to do this?

there should be two phillips head screws on the actual hydrogate at the transom. snug those down just barely to add more friction. that should solve your problem.
