    spare wheel and tire

I just recently purchased a 96 supersport with a single axle trailer and no spare. It has a 15 x 6 wheel with 6 bolt pattern. It is a modular aluminum wheel with 12 holes around the outside. The tire is a Goodyear Marathon ST225/75R15. Any thoughts on where I can find a match for this?

Google search BOAT TRAILER RIMS. You will get a ton of results. I ended up calling the trailer mfg because they were closest and would have an exact match.

      RE: spare wheel and tire

If you have discount tire in your area they have a great selection. You do not need a trailer specific rim, you should use a trailer specific tire to be safe. I say that knowing several people use car tires on their trailers.

This is a good site for information on sizes and lug pattern - and if you eventually decide to buy online, they carry just about any size you need.

        Check em out.....

        hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, I`m sure I`ll be able to find something. My local Goodyear store had the tire but wasn`t much help on the wheel. I haven`t decided yet how important it is to have a mag wheel spare or a plain wheel with a tire cover.
