08 211 taking on water ?

Launched our 211 today for the first time this year. It immediately began taking on water. Looking down in the floor hatch in front of the xmission it appears to be flowing in on the starboard side somewhere forward of the fuel tank. Needless to say, boats back on its trailer instead of in its slip. Can't see anything obvious on the bottom. I'm guessing that it's a loose fitting. Marinemax put in a new floorboard, new rear bilge pump, new blower, and new keypad/mcu while it was in winter storage - are the fittings exposed enough that someone could have damaged something while replacing the floor panel or trying to find out why we've had a continuous string of electrical problems since we bought it? Any other thoughts?

Trying to track this thing down. So, when we'd stop I could see water flowing from underneath the fuel tank but up on the starboard side (eg, it wasn't flowing from the lower center area). It was flowing towards the stern and after coming from underneath the fuel tank was then flowing down towards the center of the bilge. Rear bilge pump would drain the water level down to about an inch or so but the flowing water would fill it up again to about 3" (top of the drain plug) and rear bilge would come on again.

Belly ski locker did have some water in it but front bilge never ran. Not sure if there was never enough water in that area for it to run or, given the continuous electrical problems since we purchased, if it's just not working.

There is no visible damage to any part of the hull.

I could not see any leaks in or near the thru-hull fittings (3 ballast, 1 cooling, speed/temp/depth). We never turned any of the ballast pumps on and ballast tanks are empty.

I assume when we're running all bilge water will be in the stern? What is the possibility that the leak is somewhere in the cooling system (engine did remain at about 160f) but when we stopped it all flowed forward and what I saw was that water flowing back towards the stern? It seemed to flow continuously (I didn't want to sit around too long to find out how long it would continue to flow) and it did not seem like the water in the center of the bilge was flowing rearward, only that up on the starboard side.

Does it have a heater? Was it Marine Max in Georgia?

Nautiquehunter is likely onto something here. If the heater wasn't winterized properly, it is usually the first system to fail due to freezing. This will cause a leak that can be pretty substantial. Is the water only coming in when the engine is running? Is the water in the bilge hot? If your heater core is in an area that is easily accessible, look there for the leak.

Makes sense. Drivers area was warm (enough that I felt to see if heat was coming out). Hot water coming out in that area could certainly do it. Don't have a clue where the heater core is though. I'm guessing somewhere under the main floor panel?

Also, what damage could water this hot do to the inner hull, wires, and other stuff it came in contact with?

Don't know if you have fixed this problem yet. I found the same problem with my 211. My docking lights were leaking very badly. I took them apart and siliconed the gaskets... no more water in the bilge for me. just a thought for you.
