Dealer territory?

I heard that cc dealers aren't spoosed to sell outside of their territory -- is this true and if so, does it apply to just new or also to used boats?

Pretty true for all inboard boat dealers on new stuff only. It is mainly for warranty work. But used is fair game for everyone. No warranty so no worries!

I have seen this before with a different brand. Its supposed to be to help smaller dealers compete with larger dealers. In no way does that mean that a bad local dealer owns you and can dictate terms and price because you cant buy it elsewhere. If you dont want to deal with your local dealer or they dont have the boat you want contact your area rep and they will get it done. Its always better to deal with the local dealer or you may have to drive some distance for warranty.
