2003 Super Air 210 vs. 226 - any pros and cons - looking at both!

Sorry for another rookie post - found 2 2003 Nautiques that fit our budget and was looking for some insight on how the two models compare. The 226 has a tower and ballast and a bigger motor - but all the talk is about the SANTE 210.

We are in need of a good family boat that will allow us to Surf, Wakeboard, Tube, ect - please note we do nothing exceptionally well, but like to give everything a try! My family size is 3 and we always have additional people along - I was never looking for a 226, but am willing to give it a shot if it fits our needs better.

Any reason to look harder at one vs. the other?

I personally am not a fan of the old 226. They are the oddest looking Air/Sport that CC ever made in my opinion and the wake is soft and really rampy. I have ridden on several and I could never get a good solid vert style wake out of one. They are big and do well in choppy water, but that is about all the pros. The 2003 210 is a wake machine that is reasonbly big enough for a family of 3 and extra friends to tag along too. I have had four adults and 4 kids in mine and we are more than comfortable. If you want something that I feel is in between the two then look at an 04-05 211. They are I think a happy medium of the two.

If you don't have a strong reason for the 226 go with the 210 simply on resale.

I'm in agreeance with above, I was never a big fan of that boat.

No real reason to go 226 - one jumped out and caught my eye and I figured I better ask about the two! Thanks for the information, hopefully this search is ended soon!
