    fuel additives

is anybody running anything in their fuel on newer model boats. i live in pgh pa and own a lawn mower repair buisness. i have repaired so many new mowers because of fuel problems. tractors that go from store to trailer to gas staton to homes and then do not run. you can see the water and alcohol in the tanks.

i use a product called "fuel medic" for the shop gas and repairs. it removes water. seems to work very well.

if get-go fuel stations have bad fuel with their high turn over who knows what your gonna get on a lake or river.

I used Startron last year during the summer and then switch to Stabil in the winter, no issues. The boat doesn't run quite as well with Stabil, but it sits a little longer in the winter so I switch just to be safe, I really don't want to have to figure out how to get rid of 40 gal of bad fuel.

I use Startron and it has worked great. I started putting it in all my machines at work and it has really made a difference. As far as getting rid of 40 gallons of bad gas, try a truck/tractor repair facility. Usually they have a waste tank.
