2008 Super air 210 Team Gear Lash????

I just brought home a 2008 210 and when I'm driving it just in gear or putting I can hear a bit of a grinding noise?? Now I have heard it is referenced as GEAR LASH?? I also heard the cure is to replace or add a transmission plate of some sort? Can anyone relate to this noise and if so what was your cure?
