I am having trouble dialing in a suitable wake surf set up. I recently sold my 01 Tige 2100V. Obviously that had a massive wake. (but that said i love my Nautique so much more) However with the Nautique i am having a bit of a problem. I prefer the passenger side surf(port). i have tried filling both rear tanks, I don't have a center. I have tried filling just the port tank. i have tried various hydroGate positions, My 3 daughters sit on the back end as they always have, have gone down as low as 10 mph, but still not a great surfing wake. I DON"T want to add a center tank or ballast up front. So can anyone who has a SV211 and surfs let me know what setup the use to create a decent surfing wake?

My set up for when we have a small (2 plus rider) crew is a 350# sac on top of the aft port walk-thru, a 370# Fly High sac (w704) that fits nicely under the passenger seat bench, and another 350 sac in the port bow. This is with the factory port and belly tanks full. Produces a bit of a list so careful driving and calm water is key. Weight in the back makes the wave tall, then adding weight forward really elongates the wave pocket. Add crew and less sacs needed.2010 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition -
I pulled out the stock tank and installed a 1100 pound sack on the drivers side. and a 750 on the passenger side. removing the tanks has been on of the best upgrades I have done. it increased the amount of storage by almost twice. On the drivers side we fill the sack and about 150 lbs. of lead under the front seats on the side we want to surf. The wake is a good size but not as clean of the passenger side. It is very important on the side you surf to have passengers all on that side. they must be past the middle of the boat. The ski pillion is a good reference. Even having an average person a foot the past the pillion makes a huge difference.
On the passenger side we fill up the bag and add a 400 pound bag on the walk through over the bag. We move the lead over and then the smallest legal drivers drives. The wake is cleaner on this side.
We have a center tank but it does not make a big difference. We now fill it half way. The hydro gate is set between 2 and 3.Comment
