96 SS's wake much nicer than my friends 07 moomba xlv

just went out on my friends 23 ft moomba xlv that holds 16 people, so much roomier than my 96 SS but what surprised me was how much better my wake is for boarding and surfing, we had the 1500 lbs ballast and 13 people in my friends xlv and the wake just was not as nice as when we 5 or 6 in my SS and 1800 lbs of sac in mine. i guess i just thought being a baby supra which is what his is it would have a nicer wake than mine. makes me love my SS even more and more!

For wakeboarding, many would argue that there is no better wake than your hull (some people complain about it being too hard on the knees for landings... but there is no better vertical than the original SS hull). For surfing, there is, but the surf wake is still very good.

96 ss has the same hull as the 210s through 06, I think.

ya think? your hull is famous for its wake. while moomba makes a decent boat with many of the same looks and features, it turns out a great wake is harder to do

yea i know i, just thought a 45K dollar boat that was built to wakeboard would impress me more with the wake, also his stereo sucks, haha, guess i dont understand why people spend the dough on other boats when you can buy a sweet used Nauti for less and have an epic boat for years. guess the people that buy them do it more for the status of having a "wakeboard boat" rather than the real deal.

Some people do not like buying used vehicles. It's pretty much that simple.

The 1995 through 2006 SAN wake is legendary. There is a reason many people want Correct Craft to bring that hull back.
In my mind, there is only one boat worthy of being called a Super Air Nautique. It is the boat with the 1995 through 2006 hull.
My opinion, in 2007 the "Super Air Nautique" name no longer meant anything, it became just advertising and promotion, and no longer was the real deal.
