Wow your not joking looked at your 03 in your link their. It must be the brother of my boat Same wrap around seating and all! Very similar. I wonder who has it now?
I just got a Cover sports cover from Brent and it is by far the best fitting cover I have ever had. I will try to get some pics later this week. I am still trying to decide if I should cut the straps to a shorter length or just leave them long.
About a week ago I trailered my 2007 SANTE 220 with cover about 350 miles from SLC down to Lake Powell. I went with my two buddies. One has a Malibu VLX Wakesetter, the other has a MC X-45. Both have factory made, OEM covers. We had severe side winds. Both their covers blew off their boats. My cover never came undone. Both their covers suffered rips and other damage...mine none. The Mastercraft cover needs serious work to get it back to working condition. Mine looks as good today as when I bought it a year ago and has performed flawlessly.
Both the Malibu and Mastercraft owners asked me where I got my cover, how much and were wondering if they make covers for Malibu and MC.
Here are the pics of my cover. This thing is SWEET! But there is one rather large problem it seems...
I think my cover is too short.
The straps are all as tight as I can get them and it still doesn’t seem like enough. Besides the fact that rain/leaves/debris can get up under the hinges and into the trunk... The water is going to run off the back (just like it’s suppose to) and drop directly into the two rear air vents on the left and right. This will happen ANY time it rains. Plus, the air vests are plenty big for leaves to fall into. They need to be covered. It just seems the cover needs another 4” back there.
The cover needs to be shaped like that in the rear in order to cinch up properly. I wonder if you could have someone local stitch a piece of fabric on that would come down to cover the vents and trunk hinges? Stitch it to the inside of the cover so water flows on to the top of it. Don't stitch the sides so that it will still cinch without bunching.
Those are very nice covers! I wish i had on for my 98 Ski Nautique, but i just bought a Perfect Pass. If you don't mind, how much was the cover?? Or what is the general price for them???
It was $815 if I remember correctly. I think that's a pretty flat rate.
I got a $40 discount for direct deposit, and he'll give you a $40 discount if you get a black cover - which I didn't do.
