Isn't this thread about CC 2012 rumors, pics info?

I think it would be nice to outfit new boats with life jackets, flares, air horn, throwable, etc. I'm sure a few dealers do this, but it would be nice if cc did it forth customer. My first new boat came outfitted and it made things that much nicer for me. Granted, I hated the boat.

What's funny is now all the sudden the factory is at half capacity, when relatively recently most of us were told production was sold out. Personally, I feel anything coming out of CC at this point is at best half-truths. Hey CC, want to add a unit a day to production? Run a limited amount of old 210s and 196s through the line. Limiting the amount will increase demand, and help prevent stealing sales from the new 210 and 200. Don't give that bs excuse that those boats were designed using old assembly practices the current line can't support; I know for a fact an old style 210 was built this year at CC.

I was told you can still order a brand new 196. Don't know pricing/options, etc. If I could use a 196 to pull record tournaments (like they can in the rest of the world), I would order one today!

Moving on to 2013, I'm intrigued about the new/smaller Prostar 190. Pretty much the opposite mindset of CC and Bu, which may be a sales boost for them? Sorry for bring up MC, but I just thought I'd pass along the word on the street.'08 196LE (previous)

MC already has the Prostar 214 to cover demand for larger ski boats... I am hoping the new Prostar 190 is a pure slalom boat. To bad I wont be able to afford one for a decade. JamiePrevious Boats:

98 Moomba Boomerang
88 MasterCraft Powerslot

Put me down for a 196 for our show club. With the 196 gone there really isn't a suitable alternative from any of the manufacturers.2018 200 Team H6
2009 196 Team ZR 409
2005 196 Limited ZR 375
2003 196 Limited Excalibur
1999 196 Masters Edition

I haven't checked this thread in a while, but sitting in the airport waiting for the RED EYE flight. I like a lot of the comments, interested in others and a couple have me rolling on the floor. I'm not sticking up for the price increases, I don't like it either, but I haven't seen any comments around inflation costs. I can say this, my business has seen copper and steel increase 10X+ vs 2010 pricing. We are $150M (ish) to the negative on $4B in sales through July. CC is seeing a lot of the same things. Shipping, oil, resin, labor, steel, copper (yes there is copper in your boats- Wiring) all are on the raise.
So as I see it we as consumers have a couple options. You can send a message to CC by NOT purchasing NEW boats. Personally, I don't see this happening. I will be buying a NEW CC as soon as they get me a GOOD dealer (OK that was my plug on that subject after 3 years).
Two - you can push back on the industry. Example allow several models of tow boats qualify for tournaments. Allowed to use the 196 for record runs vs the 200. Or even allow the 1997-2001 for record runs.
Here is something I would like to see CC do and I have asked for it. How out of the box and cool would it be if CC had a customer focus group for consumers. I have offered my services for years on this (I doubt I would be invited being I have been vocal on a couple warranty issues over the years. When I say vocal, I mean private with CC. AND yes they have all been handle to my complete satisfaction.)
I also doubt this one would fly.... Maybe advanced R&D isn't important to many of you. Remember we have PROs designing boats and advances is the most important things to them. We pay them a lot of money to do this, which causes our boat prices to increase. The reason I say this is a lot of you want the 196 back. I love my 196 and plan to keep it many years. That said, I love my 210 and don't feel the boat needs any changes for several years, so I would rather CC work on cost out methods vs designing me a new 210 hull or adding TV's in my boat. Do that is what is important to me.
In closing, blogs/fourms whatever you want to call it are great... We get to come on this website and write how we feel and as long as we keep it clean and reasonable it is enjoyed by many. Pretty cool... CC is in the business of build, marketing and selling boats. WE ALL agree they are doing it better then the rest (MC, BU, and the rest we don't really care about), but I have seen first HAND CC does listen to it customers.
OH, I'm in for a 196. I think I made the suggest to set up a BIG conf. call where people can dial in. I have several questions. 1. What edition are they going to build (i think they should all be teams, colors (i'd be ok with limited selection, as long as dark blue is included), Price. Can we still build for the same numbers as 2010 196s?Last edited by CradGen2; 08-11-2011, 07:35 PM.

As far the history of the 210.
2007 - New hull, layout, etc. Same FCT-1 tower as 2006.
2008 - Modified bench seat design, FCT-2 Titan added as tower option
2009 - Added Roswell FCT-3, FCT-1 and FCT-2 still an option
2010 - Removed option for FCT-1 & FCT-2. There was an FCT-4 option that only lasted one year.
2011 - Modified Roswell 09-10 tower, which is the FCT-5.
2012 - Slightly modified FCT-5. Safety, board rack quick connects changed.
