I don't like the new byerly, as much. I prefer the previous tower and everything else. I still like the new graphic, but seems like a cheaper build for them. No gauges? Really? None?

The Ski Nautique 200 (Team Edition) has had no gauges since it came out. Haven't heard many complaints about it on that boat.

Here's a 2012 fact... the MSRP on the 2012 200 increased 10% from 2011 (both OB and CB). It makes me wonder if they'll publish the new pricing on the website, like they do now?

Another 2012 picture. Side pockets returning to the 210 is AWESOME!

is the steering wheel from the full-throttle package is now standard in 2012?

Correct. The Full Throttle no longer exist. All Team editions have the FT steering wheel and I believe the stainless hydra gate. You can add the stainless windshield upgrade that was once part of the FT package.

How people justify the expense is beyond me. At some point, the luxury market is going to turn away from towboats and move into another niche boat style, and the bottom is going to drop out of CC's sales. Nautiques have always been expensive, but this is just becoming a joke.

No you're not. Anyone that's lost a weekend to unnecessary electronics, especially in the dash or helm, feels this way. Including me. If you've been around these things for long enough I think this kind of skepticism is raw instinct. Analog gauges being on warning in the tournament inboard market is baffling.

I am REAL surprised they did another year of the Byerly. I... didn't think it did all that well, matter how awesome it is, and I was one of the first to jump up and start applauding that project. I love last year's version and the idea in general.

I was surprised they did another Byerly also. It would have been cool if they did a Murray 230 instead.

I do like the clean lines of the new interior and side pockets, but I don't think it justifies another price increase.

Byerly has such a distint style and brand identity. What would a Murray 230 look like?

The new Byerly looks nice. I look at the old one everyday(Brandon Thomas') when I go in my back yard and considering its tied up next to a Malibu wakesetter(Brian Grubb) I have to sadly say the wakesetter puts the old Byerly to shame in terms of looks. Harley Clifford's X-star is two doors down from them and I have to rank them Malibu-1, X-star-2 and Byerly-3. I hope the new one comes up in the ranking

I hated the idea of no gauges but when I got my 200 I fell in love with the linc system. I balked on the 200 for a long time b/c of the lack of analog but now I can say I'm never going back. The linc system rocks.

not to threadjack, but I was between 2011 sport 200, SAN 210, Sport 226, and 2011 wakesetter VLX. I love the nautiques, but the prices were just too high. I hate to hear that they are going up for 2012. For 8k cheaper than a SAN 210 I was able to pick up this malibu:

The Linc system may rock, but everybody was raving about the digital Teleflex gauges in model year 2000. We will see how much the Linc system, rocks a few years down the road.
By the way, the analog gauges still work on my 1997 Ski Nautique, (over 2360 hours) I have had no touchpad issues, (it has a normal switch, and a key) and I can read black letters, on a white gauge, in any angle of sun, with polarized sunglasses on. If a key switch malfunctions when I am on vacation, any normal key switch will keep my boat running, anywhere there is an auto parts store. I could also probably replace the gauges with any equivalent gage, also from the local auto parts store, to save a vacation.
The Airguide speedometers tell me how fast I am going, not how fast I was going, the last time it got a satellite fix. Sure, the pitot tube occasionally gets clogged, but it is an easy and simple fix to clear it.
I guess, like Chexi, I too am a luddite

Parts left off a boat cost nothing, and do not create service problems.

While I do agree about being apprehensive about the latest trend in a computer controlling every aspect of the boat, but I can also see the ease of use that it provides. I love the one touch ballast operation of the latest boats. I like that the you can gather more info about how the boat is running.

The only real complaints I have (and this on my Malibu as well) - I want a keyed ignition. I don't like the computerized ignition. I have been fortunate enough to not have any problems with my touch screen.

I am also curious to see how much repair bills will be on the computers once the warranty runs out - ouch.
