Tower Factory Finish

Does anyone know if the "polished" factory finish on the current tower is truly polished (chrome like), or similar to the finish on the windshield frame?

They called the tower on my 05 SV211 polished and I would call it brushed. It's brushed aluminum that is anodized. It's the most durable finish available but it doesn't shine like chrome.
