    1200+ hours - problems?

    hi guys,

looking at getting a ski nautique 196, somewhere around 2002-2005 year boat. seen some with 1200+ hours, but was wondering if this is likely to be a problem (assuming the boats condition etc is good)

any thoughts/opinions or advice on likely issues or known faults?

    thanks,

    ST

Sounds like a lot of hours... but if its been maintained properly and the records/receipts were kept for the maintenance, I would think its ok... I bought a 95 Super Sport with 288 hours on the GT-40 EFI... was like new. There are deals out there, just gotta look and be flexible where you get it. May i suggest a website that looks at Craigslist and Ebay sales in one search... that is how I found mine. You can fine tune the search to the boat or the area.. try it out... I drove 19 hours to get mine in November... and it was well worth the drive and effort (and Price).
Go to JAXED.com... click on MASHED from the menu bar and select BOATS.... and it will search both Ebay and Craigslist for what you are looking for. Fine tune for model NAUTIQUE and use the drop-down for Location (Mid-West, West, or specific states)... One warning.... if you see a deal thats too-good to be true... it probably is.... there ARE scammers on there that list $80K boats for $20K (gotta sell it).. dont even bother contacting... its like that friend request from someone in India who wants to give you a million dollars... haha.

But there are a lot of legit deals to be had... buyer be ware though... good luck.. its how I found my gem...
