    things to look for

Hi guys, I'm in the market for a boat and am looking for some advice. My budget is around 30k, so I'm in the market for an older super air probably 2000-2006 depending on hours. My only requirements are vdrive and ballasts. I'm looking for some opinions from owners who have/had these models. Are there any specific problems I need to watch out for? Ex: "The 04's were the first year they did this, be careful" or "I would try for an 02 over previous years because...." Things along those lines. Also what do the teams/special editions have different from normal? Are there any features that you guys really like I should look for? Is there a place I can go to read up on past models/options/reviews?
    Thanks Tyler.

For comparisons on the options that the Team Editions had versus Limiteds, you can go to correctcraftfan.com where in the reference section you can see brochures on various years and view the options tables. I am not familiar with those vintages, but others here will chime in I am sure. Lowest hours best maintained is a mantra I have often heard, except for the one with so few hours due to neglect and excess shop time. I have seen reviews at wakeboardmag.com, but nothing too critical discussed there.

I have read that from 2000 to 2003 each successive year the SAN improved noticably. The digital guages seem to be problematic and are common among those years. Replacment analog guages are readily available though.

We're in a similar market and I can tell you that you've arrived at the right place. I've seen and driven boats from Mastercraft, Moomba, Centurian, Supra, Malibu, and Correct Craft and the comparison is undeniable. In some cases you can save money by going with other manufacturers but you will definately notice a difference in quality. Some are more expensive but still not as good.

Like others have said in the past, I'd rather own a used Nautique than a new ____________.

just to clarify, the 2003's didnt have the problematic digital gauges. is one of the favorable points for that year ...

My uncle has a sanger, which I don't really like but is alright. My buddy had a mastercraft and it was an absolute pos, some little thing was always breaking and it was horrible to drive. I'm in for a wakesetter or super air but am really looking for a super air, I just like everything about them more. So watch out for gauges, I read in another post that the digital gauges cause problems with the hour meter to read inaccurately. I also read they changed motors, preferences/experiences/problems? They changed the rear of the boat one of those years as well correct? Can someone enlighten me on what really went on there? Does it make a huge difference? Were there any more major changes between 04-06?
            Thanks, Tyler

Would there be any reason at all to choose one over the other. The 02 seems way over priced, the 03 seems solid.
They have the same seating configuration. Are the backs of these boats different?
              Thanks, Tyler

Is the 03 not actually a super air. In the brochures on correctcraftfan.com there is no super air in the 03 brochure. Is there a difference between the air and super air from 02-03?

That is a Super Air hull. The did some funky things with the naming convention. They might have called it a 210 that year. If that 03 is in good condition and is actually real and not a scam, that is a steal.

Thats what I'm thinking, its only 30 min from my house so I'm gunnna take a look, he said running great after recent tune up, so I'm wondering if maybe it had some engine problems.

i would say the ad for the 03 is bullsh_t, but let us know what you find out ... yes the 03's are super airs, but in the brochure they tried to push just calling it "air nautique 210" and customers called for the super to be put back on, so they did
