'08 SANTE problems, cutting in & out

I've posted in the help area but haven't been able to get much replies, so I thought maybe some of you who do not read that are amay have run across this.

    '08 SANTE, 343 motor

She runs fine, for 15 - 30 minutes, and then all of a sudden starts to die. What I mean by this is, you can be running 28mph and all of a sudden it is like you cut the key off and then back on. It will die down and then take back off, die, take off, die.... and so on.
If you park her for 10 minutes, it will run fine for 15 mins and then do the same crap over again. Some times it will even cut out so back it will caugh and you can smell raw fuel.

I've changed all filters, full service, the works, but can't get this to stop. I've run 10 tanks of fuel through her and it still does it. Last time I ran 3 bottles of HEET cleaner through with no luck.

Any ideas? Maybe a sensor? Is it fuel relayed?

Sounds more like an electrical issue that gets hot, then cools off and acts normal. As in a voltage issue.

Sounds like my issue, even though we have different motors.

I had an older Nautique with I believe the GT40 that did almost the same thing and it ended up being the power module..

check cap and rotor, ignition coil, they make a spark tester that goes in line with a bulb so u can install it and run the boat and when it acts up lift the cover to see if it is spark related install inline with coil wire. atleast that way u can rule fuel out if u lose spark

Talked with Wes at White Marine, he thinks it is probably the filter inside the FCC module. So I will start there, he said the next step will be checking solenoids.

Have a call into PCM as well, I'll keep you'en updated!

Have you drained the FCC to make sure you didn't get some water in your fuel? I would also check the FCC filter if you haven't changed it yet.

This has to be a fuel issue.Get a fuel pressure gauge and see if the pressure is 60 psi when the poblem occurs.

i had a problem like this in my last malibu. i replaced my fuel filter. lake tested her, ran good for a short time. pulled the filter again, plugged solid. went to a car parts store (lordco) and picked up a clear K&N filter so i could see what was going on. didnt plug up again after the 2nd filter. put the proper filter back in and never had a problem again.

it sounds like a fuel problem to me.
